Citizen of Huaco

As we mention before the children have a long walk to arrive at school.

Well, the same goes for the parents.  In this short video you can see our group is going in cars to Huaco school. And there are donkeys walking with babies and children. Exposing them to the sun and cold breeze.

In this video you will see the couple just arrived to the place and one of our volunteer are asking them. Where do they live?

They explain that they hear about the meeting that THE PLUMBERS DREAM are doing today so they want to be considerate in their list for the next year, If is possible.

Families like this one walk long distantes everyday for their job.

Huaco School

Huaco school have around 23 children in need and with malnutrition. But this didn’t stop the children because they love to learn and eat. And this motivation make them walk almost 3 hours everyday to school. They have a hard time on winter trying to go school. the cold weather made their skin really sensitive and leave their faces red. For this reason they will stop coming to school which lead not to eat lunch. You can see in this video the place where they studied, eat and play. You can see too that the place is in the middle of nowhere only hills and mountains around. We will return to this place soon with donation. if you want to be involve you can donate on our page. And we will be in contact with you so you can see that your donation arrived to the children.

The children in Huaco – Ayacucho

Most of the children in Huaco – Ayacucho have siblings. They always go in group of three to school because the older brother or sister takes  the little ones with them.

This is the case with Micaela (12 years old), Julian (10 years old), and Rosy (5 years old). The three children walk a long distance to school . It can take from 2 to 3 hours to arrived to school. Depending on how fast the 5 years old can walk.

Micaela is a really shy girl, she like to learn and always takes the responsibility to bring her  brother and sister. All the clothes that she and her sibling wear are for donation of gentle use clothes a couple years ago and they still using it. That why you can see in then pictures how tight  and small are the clothes on them.

Julian is a really happy boy. He like play soccer with his friends. He ask my sister for a soccer ball when she come back. And the little one Rosy. She is such a cute girl she was following my sister all the time for a piece of bread that she was giving to everybody. Rosy is really shy and quiet. But you can see not when it comes to free food.

This children need our help. They are in poor conditions but they live happy in the mountains with their parent, their land and animals.

The weather has been much colder then normal. It has been a struggle to grow food.  This weather condition are killing children and animals in this part of the mountain.

We are asking for donation or you can help us with one child. For $50 dollars  we can give them:

Water boots, winter jacket, backpack, school supplies (pen, pencil, sharper, erasers, color pencils, play dough, paint, draw book, notebooks) , toothpaste, toothbrush, soap and a toy.

The plumbers dream is in charge of the shipping and delivery of the donation. We will send you video or pictures of the child receiving the package with your name or business name on it.

If you are a business we will put your name on our banner as well.

Thank You

Exploring Ayacucho

This Year our group The Plumbers Dream has traveled to the south of Peru. They arrived to Ayacucho State to explore a village call it Huaco that Its a 2 hours from a city called Querobamba.

Our group is going to this place so they can better know the needs of the children and take some size of each one for coats and shoes. We will return to this place for Christmas and give the donation to Them.

Going over there wasnt easy for our group. The area where these children live does not have a road and this region is over 3’600 meter above the ocean level. The trip took more time than We estimed 1/2 hour on airplane, 6 hours on bus. Thanks to the Health services of Querobamba, who helped us arrived to Huaco. This region located between montains and empty land but with really nice people.

Huaco has a school. There are total of 20 children between 2 and 12 year old, most of them are sibling. There are children that walk for 2 hours everyday. One way  daily routine is to get up at 6:00 am to leave their homes and arrive to school at 8 or 9 am. The sad facts is not just this long walk to school but sometimes its cold and raining. They also only eat one meal per day and that is at school these children need our help.

If you want to help please contact us or make a donation here in our page. We will get in contact with you and you will receive a letter with a picture of the child that you are helping.

Thank You

Explorando Ayacucho

Gracias
